Ok so, I will start with the negative space, its great just the right amount without being overwhelming. The building on the right is really well placed in the contrast range. However where you run into problems is the time of day, its not quite sunset its not quite day time and its not the night time but the color range or tempurtaures you get from the street lights distract from the sky temperature. Also there is too much chaos with the cars. So I would recommend going back and taking this picture at night, back up a little on the sidewalk and get a sharper angle to the right (or the opposite and remove the street lamps from your view by going more to the left), turn down your ISO and make sure you use a tripod (if you can't afford one like I couldn't when I first started, figure out some way to prop up the camera. Also remove the garbage can.

One thing I always ask myself when taking a picture is, what is the subject, what is my focal point and how can I tell a story with this.

You may not like my comments, I am not saying they are the right way to take pictures, I just thought I'd share what I would think would improve the picture. Keep shooting!!
